Who are we?

We are a small team of parent volunteers: Alice Mellings (Chair), Ruth Edge and Sarah Davis (Joint Vice Chairs), Victoria Woodhams (Secretary) and Laura Moore (Treasurer). We work closely with the school staff and are supported by fantastic volunteers who help at events and promote activities.

What do we do?

In 2024–2025 we raised an incredible £20K through events, grants and the PTA lottery.

Annual activities such as Wreath Making, the School Disco, Break the Rules Day and the Sponsored Walk raised over £8K. Grants from Harbury WI, the 29th May 1961 Charity and Tesco Stronger Starts added £5K, and the PTA lottery raised £1.7K.

Code Club, run by Chris and Gareth, provides coding opportunities for Y5 and Y6 and contributed over £1K.

This year we have also teamed up with Earthworms to jointly support school gardening projects.

We meet 4–6 times a year to plan events, with ongoing communication via WhatsApp. All funds go directly back into the school, supporting items and experiences not covered by the school budget—such as coach travel, WOW days, sensory resources, sports equipment, learning materials, the Thrive shed and treats like the Easter egg hunt.

Why join?

Joining the PTA is a great way to support the school, make friends and help make a meaningful difference to your child’s experience.

What’s expected?

There is no fixed commitment—help as much or as little as you wish. You can attend meetings, volunteer at events, coordinate activities, donate raffle prizes, suggest ideas, join the lottery or simply contribute financially.
