Courageous Advocacy- Love in action!

What's courageous advocacy I hear you say? Well, it's about standing up for and speaking out about injustice. Not just in word but by action! Courageous advocacy is about creating the confidence that we can make a real change in the face of some of the seemingly insurmountable giants of the world.

These are a few of our pupil led actions of justice...there's many more displayed inside school.

Young at Heart

Love for each other and our neighbours

Year 4 have been courageous advocates thinking of ways to raise money to help Young at Heart. This is a charity that has supported one of the families in Year 4 and has made a big difference in their lives.

Young at Heart is ...

a small local registered charity, founded in 1982, offering help and support to families of babies and children diagnosed with heart defects. All these children and their families have spent many weeks/months in hospital undergoing major heart surgery. Some children have had numerous operations throughout their short lives. Sadly, some do not survive and for others their only hope is a heart transplant.

Great Big Green Week

Love for God's Creation

The Great Big Green Week is the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. It is a time when people across the UK will celebrate the heartfelt, brave, everyday actions being taken to stand up for nature and fight climate change.

Our world is being affected by climate change and we can see its effects here in the UK and in all parts of the world. There is lots that is being done to tackle climate change and protect nature but there is still lots more that can be done. The Great Big Green Week is a time to show our leaders that we care about our planet and need to work together to do what we can to protect it. Everyone of us has a part to play.. Love in action!

There are more humans on the planet now than ever before. As we take up more space on Earth, it is important that we take care to protect the natural world from changes that can harm nature and damage the planet.

Fosse Food Bank

Love for our neighbours in Warwickshire

We regularly collect donations for the Fosse Food Bank. We use Harbury E-Wheels to deliver our collection to St Peter's Church in Kineton.  Mrs Rea organises a 'Reverse Advent' event where families give rather than receive at Harbury. the amount of food we have donated is unbelievable!
