We will be learning how to care for our world by reducing waste, reusing materials, and thinking about how our everyday choices can make a positive difference. We will also study the seasonality of produce nd visit the Harbury allotment to observe how food grows in real-life conditions.
In Science, the focus will be on Living Things and their Habitats, as well as Animals including Humans. We will revisit the conditions plants need to grow and stay healthy, and explore how animals obtain food through simple food chains. We will also learn about the basic needs of animals and the importance of keeping fit and healthy.
In Art, the class will study the work of Pablo Picasso and create food-inspired sketches in his distinctive style. Design and Technology lessons will involve exploring fruits and vegetables through taste testing and preparing a deliecious healthy salad by following a recipe.
