On Thursday 15th January 2026, Year 6 went to the Imperial War museum in London. Upon arriving at the museum, the children were greeted and signed in at the West entrance and after a quick biscuit break, they were ready to experience the World War 2 exhibition.

In this exhibition the children were taken on a chronological tour from when the war commenced to when it ended. Throughout the exhibition the children were able to see a wide variety of sources and experience many interactive exhibits too. The children were particularly intrigued but the shelters (Anderson and Morrison.)  As well as seeing, all the clothes, weaponry and chewing gum! Overall, the trip was an incredible experience and the children were able to see and hear so many amazing things linking to our topic. On the way home, very kindly, our coach driver took us on a tour of London when the children were able to see, the London eye, Big Ben and the houses of parliament.

A massive thank you to the amazing parents who helped us on our trip, we wouldn’t have been able to go without you so we are really grateful for you giving up your time to help us enrich our learning. Additionaly our incredible PTA who helped to make this trip possible.
